The booklet usually contains 25 transfer/patent leaves, separated by tissue paper and sewed on a side but each leaf of gold is gently pressed to a lightly adhesive tissue paper.
This improves a lot your handling as you can remove the transfer/patent leaf directly from the booklet and the metal leaf will stay perfectly spreaded over the tissue paper, ready to be pressed on the prepared surface to be gilded.

They are available in various leaf sizes; on demand the booklet may contain a different leaf number from the standard 25leaf booklet.
